Blog Prompt #6: Let readers in to your kitchen

Today my grandfather told me that his maternal grandmother (my great great grandmother), Mary Josephine (Russo) Vaccaro, and his faternal grandmother (my great great grandmother), Carmela (DeCosmo) Boccamazzo, used to make eel as a dish. Now he didn't say how they made it but just the thought of eating eel is not appealing.

He also told me that once when, Mary Josephine was making it, she was cutting up the eel and it moved. She screamed and threw the knife. Her husband (my great great grandfather), Natale Vaccaro, got up and with an Italian accent said in English, "Goddamn women" and finished cutting the eel.
